Menu Items

There are 8 menu item types available for CM Gift Card:

• Default: the page where your customers select the gift card type they want to buy.
• Shopping Cart: the page where the customer provides billing and shipping details, then proceeds to checkout.
• Checkout: the page that redirects the customer to the selected payment gateway’s website. It should be used as a hidden menu item.
• Gift Card Form: the page where the customer selects a gift card design, enters the gift card amount, and so on.
• Orders: the list of the customer’s orders.
• Order: the order detail page. It should be used as a hidden menu item.
• Check Gift Cards: the page used by the site’s staff, which shows all of the gift cards on the site.
• Check Gift Card Detail: the page used by the site’s staff to check the details of a gift card. It should be used as a hidden menu item.

Hidden menu items are menu items that are not shown in your site’s front end. To create a hidden menu item:

• Create a new menu and give it a title (whatever you like, for example Hidden menu).
• Create your new menu items in this new menu.

As long as you don’t assign this new menu to a menu module and show that module in your front end, the menu items in this menu are not shown either, so they are considered “hidden”.

The purpose of a hidden menu item is to let you control the URL of the page (through the menu item’s alias) and control which modules are shown on the page.
