Electronic Gift Card

Most of the configuration options for an electronic gift card are the same as for a physical gift card. There are a few options that only the electronic gift card has:

• Allow Selecting Delivery Date: Let the customer choose the date on which the gift card is sent. If this option is disabled, the gift card is sent immediately.

• PDF Gift Card: Generate a PDF gift card and attach it to the gift card email. The mPDF library is required to generate the PDF gift card.

• PDF Gift Card Template: The HTML template for the PDF gift card. This HTML is converted to a PDF.

  You do not have to start from nothing. Click Sample to see a ready-made design, then copy it into the editor. Click Preview to open the design in the editor as a PDF, filled in with example details, so you can see it before you sell anything.

  Three things to know when you write your own:

  • Use inline style attributes. A <style> block is removed when you save, unless you are a Super User.
  • Lay the page out with tables. The PDF library does not support flexbox or CSS grid.
  • The QR code needs room set aside for it, because the PDF library draws it without taking up any space. The sample does this for you, using your QR Code Size setting. If you change that setting, copy the sample again.
